Fit of Anger

In a fit of anger a wealthy acquaintance of yours throws a bat at your car. The bat bounces off the side of the car and hits you in the face. Your friend Bill tells you that it won't do you any good to report it to the police. "Even if they do prosecute her, you can't get anything as a result."

Is your friend correct? Explain. (at least 3 sentences)

  1. I think this assumption is fake. You could sue for damages to your vehicle and the physical damages. I imagine the court would settle for vehicle damages plus some sort of doctor bill.

  2. I believe your friend would be incorrect in such a case. Depending on the severity of the damage caused by the bat, you could get a fixed amount, even if it just pays for hospital costs. Also, this could be called assault, which usually guarantees some sort of justice to be done, whether it's a settlement or not.

  3. No she isnt because her having a fit of anger makes her a flight risk and if she would have broke a blood vessel or something it would have been deadly so you could sue and win

  4. Her friend is wrong because there is a lot of other way to deal with anger then throw things. And she should turn it in to the police because it could turn in to something dangerous. So her what she should do.

  5. No your friend is not right. She injured you and damaged your vehicle. She would have to pay for vehicular damages and whatever harm she did to your face.

  6. I would sue because they ruined my car.It would also be possible that you have to got to the doctor and hope its not that bad of an injury. Sue for damages on car and for your doctors bill.

  7. Your friend is not only a douche but incorrect. They threw the bat in a fit of rage and harmed you in the process which could be seen as many different charges such as assault. you could get the cops and file a law suit and get quite a bit of compensation from your rich "friend".

  9. I believe my friend would incorrect because if the bat damaged my vehicle and caused me to have an injury, they would need to be sued for damages of the car and for assault on me.
