They could not qualify for a bank loan and they didn't belong to a credit union. An acquaintance referred them to someone's name Slye, who'll lend you money on sight. No collateral.

ReplyDeleteI think the contract is illegal. Slye is not licensed for this job. Also, the Franklins probably never signed an agreement. The Franklins should have to pay any money back. The contract is illegal which makes it void
ReplyDeleteI believe the contract was legal. you can make a contract with anyone. they set clear terms and rules and a time to pay it back by. they must repay the full amount back. that amount is $2,500.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this sounds illegal. Unless you have to have a license to loan money, this was okay. They will owe an extra $1970 with their fee. The contract isn't illegal, probably.
ReplyDeleteEven though the Franklins did not know what they were doing was wrong it was. The reason why the lawer said it was illegal was that they did not have a right contract for it. You must not barrown moeny without a contract. What if they were not able to pay back? They would be introubble for stealing money. They would have had to pay back more every month.
