Ski Boat


Sam advertised his ski boat for sale, priced at $4,500, complete with outboard engine and trailer. Barbara paid Sam $100 for a ten-day option, the money to be applied to the purchase price if she exercised her right to buy. Two days later, Sam was killed.

Is Barbara's option still valid?

    No because death obviates all standing contracts. She could try talking to someone who would be in charge of his stuff after. If he wouldn't have died. it would be okay.

    No, Barbara's option is not valid. It is not valid because Sam had been killed. Sam was killed which means the offer was terminated.

    I don't believe it still is. The death or injury option would come into play. The contract would be terminated.

    No. This contract is not valid due to the fact Sam was killed and there was no written contract. The offer would become terminated, I believe.

    No because the injury that was caused by the ski was not her fault. Barbra was only renting it out and none of it was her problem.

    No Barbra's offer is not valid. The death and injury would be a factor. Therefore the contract would be terminated.

    Her option is not valid. He died before accepting her option. Therefore whatever Sam offered for the jet ski right away could still be valid if the law thinks should it be.

    no the offer is no longer valid because sam is now dead. She would have to make another contract with the person that got the boat from a will or otherwise. they would have to start over.

    Not anymore because of he died before accepting the other option.There would be no more contract.
